 Recently the actor was shooting for director Aziz Mirza’s Kismet Konnection at Nariman Point when he got mobbed by about 2,000 people on the streets. It was at 9 pm and the scene required Shahid to walk on the road but as soon as he stepped out of his car, a mob of 2,000 people gheraod him and they could not shoot further. Finally they a booked a room for the actor at a five-star hotel closeby, where he stayed till 3 in the night after which he came out and shot for the scene.

 Shahid Kapoor is bent upon proving that he is more than a thorough professional. Recently, the dancing star remained up whole night to shoot a song for Kismet Konnection. Shahid Kapoor volunteered to shoot for the song 'Ba khuda', after pack up was announced as getting Shahid's dates were a hassle because there was another video to be shot. The producer Ramesh Taurani is all praises for the star.

 It is going to be a battle of realism v/s candy floss as Ram Gopal Varma and Shahid Kapoor take on each other this July. Though the two haven't come together in a film so far (and it looks unlikely that they would ever in the future, considering the genre of films that the two are associated with), Ramu and Shahid Kapoor would be clashing with each other on 18th July as their CONTRACT and KISMAT KONNECTION hit the theaters on the same day.

 He has worked with Shah Rukh Khan in four films [RAJU BAN GAYA GENTLEMAN, YES BOSS, PHIR BHI DIL HAI HINDUSTANI, CHALTE CHALTE]. For the first time, veteran Aziz Mirza has looked elsewhere, beyond Shah Rukh. "When I bounced off the idea of KISMAT KONNECTION to Juhi [Chawla], her reaction was, 'Sounds so much like a young SRK.' Shah Rukh is a terrific actor, but he wouldn't look in his 20s. I had to cast someone young for the part," the soft-spoken film-maker tells me. So how did he zero upon Shahid Kapur? "I had seen ISHQ VISHK and was truly impressed by his acting abilities. I also liked his effort in films that didn't work. But he has surprised me with his performance in KISMAT KONNECTION. He's excellent in the film," Mirza informs me.

Is Shahid Kapoor Bollywood's MEB now?

 There are others too but no one can beat Yuvraj Singh (in cricket world) and Shahid Kapoor (in Bollywood), both being front runners as far as the Most Eligible Bachelor (MEB) tag goes. While Yuvraj Singh considers himself too young to get married (!), Shahid Kapoor is enjoying his new found single status and appears to be loving the bachelor tag. He goes red in the face denying all rumours with his KISMAT KONNECTION co-star, Vidya Balan and sticks to the ever famous, 'we are good friends' line. Moreover, he is very practical and does not believe in the bookish concept of a dream girl and claims that he had stopped believing in it since he was ten years old. So there is still hope for all those young fans of Shahid.
