After foot-tapping numbers like Gandi Baat, Saree Ke Fall Sa and Maat Maari, the makers of R...Rajkumar have released the film's first romantic song Dhoka Dhadi, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.

Sung by Arijit Singh and Palak Muchhal, the song is like a fresh breath of air among the many peppy numbers being churned out.

The song takes off with Shahid Kapoor saving Sonakshi Sinha from a bullet at a market place. Soon after the lead pair is seen romancing each other in exotic locales.

While the beautiful waterfalls and beaches set the tone for the romantic song, you cannot take your eyes off Shahid and Sonakshi, who successfully translate their chemistry on screen.

The music has been composed by Pritam and the lyrics have been penned by Anupam Amod and Mayur Puri.

Directed by Prabhu Deva, the film, starring Sonu Sood, Mukul Dev and Asrani, will hit the screens on December 6.

Like all the Bollywood actors, who are busy promoting their film on television, promotional events, reality shows weeks before the release of the film, even Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha are not staying back and are on a promotional spree.

The R… Rajkumar stars were spotted together at the Radio Mirchi radio station in Mumbai having a gala time. Sonakshi was dressed in a half sleeved floral dress with a lot of blues, the actress accessorized with pearl ear tops and kept her hair collected over one shoulder.
While the heartthrob of a million girls Shahid Kapoor kept that Oh So Sexy! rugged look, and showed up in smart white tee with a dark olive green zipper jacket and blue denims. Sonakshi and Shahid both were having a pretty good time, they cracked a few jokes and shared some secrets.

R… Rajkumar directed by Prabhu Deva starring Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonu Sood in lead roles is set to hit the screens on December 6, 2013.

Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor may have paired up in a film for the first time, but the duo already has one thing in common — their love for dance and praise for Prabhu Dheva, the man who has directed them in R...Rajkumar. Talking about his experience of dancing for Prabhu in the film, Shahid says, “This film has a lot of dancing in it. Although I am a dancer, it was back-breaking. Prabhu sir told me, ‘Shahid, you are 32 — if you don’t dance now, will you dance when you are 42?’”

And Sona, who has worked with Prabhu Deva earlier (Rowdy Rathore, OMG:OH My God), credits him for making her dance the way she does. “Khulke nachna mujhe Prabhu sir ne sikhaya, and I think it keeps getting better every time I work with him,” she says, and adds with a giggle, “I’d say I have learned how to be a junglee from him.”

In fact, the on-screen couple says that dance helped them create their chemistry. “Honestly, Sonakshi and I didn’t know each other at all before we shot for the film, but it didn’t take much time for us to break the ice, as we both love dancing,” says Shahid.

The R...Rajkumar team engage in a full-on leg-pulling banter....

Sonakshi: Shahid and Prabhu sir would pull my leg as soon as I'd enter the set.
Shahid: Really? When?
Sonakshi: You all are devils, who make fun of such a sweet girl.

Shahid: Despite that, you continue working with Prabhu sir again and again. In fact, both of you would be sitting together and chatting, making me feel like an outsider. I had to request to join you guys.
Sonakshi: What a liar! You felt settled on the first day itself.
Shahid: Settled? There is no time to settle on the set. What people do in three days, Prabhu sir completes in a day. Where's the time to sit idle?
Prabhu: Except for the two of you, we all knew what we had to do and were quick. Whenever you (Shahid) would ask, 'Sir, what am I supposed to do now?', I would say, 'Nothing'.

Shahid: I learnt a new expression from you — no expression.
Prabhu: I had given you both a full narration, hadn't I?

Shahid: But what we finally did on the set was completely different. When did you explain how the scene would be executed on the set?
Prabhu: How can I tell you what will happen on the set?
Shahid: After 15 days of shooting, you looked at me with a smile and said, 'Now, you may be able to understand why I say I can't explain what will happen on the set'. Because, it's all there in your mind. I felt like your personal robot when you would shoot orders — 'Shahid, look up, jump, stop, turn left, open your mouth, close...'

Sonakshi: Shahid was like a toy for you... chaabi maaro and he started action. However, I understand you very well. Even when I was standing behind the camera after giving a shot and you were behind the monitor, you would do some action from there and I would understand automatically. I also became familiar with Tamil. I could follow your discussions with your team and would know what was expected from me.
Producer Viki Rajani joins in at this point to add, "This film is a mixed bag of action, dance, drama and comedy. It will touch the pulse of the audience."

R...Rajkumar, produced by Eros International (Sunil Lulla) and NextGen Films, releases worldwide on December 6.

The second trailer of Prabhudeva’s next directorial project ‘R…Rajkumar’ is out and the glimpses of the film look entertaining.

In the trailer we see Shahid’s character Rajkumar entering the land ruled by goons and murderers. In the midst of his daily chores of dealing with difficult men, Rajkumar finds the love of his life Chanda (Sonakshi SInha). But the path of Chanda and Rajkumar’s love is full of thorns in the form of villains like Shivraj (Sonu Sood) and others.

What makes the trailer worth a watch are Shahid and Sonakshi’s antics in which the former is wooing the latter. In a scene, a miffed Sonakshi tries turning down Shahid’s advances by saying, “Apne aap ko dekha hai kya kabhi? Teri to height bhi nahi milti mujhse.” (Have you every checked out yourself? Even our heights don’t match.) To which Shahid quickly replies, “To tu sirf Amitabh Bachchan se hi pyaar karegi? Tera wazan dekha hai? Maine kuch bola? Mainbhi to adjust kar raha hoon na?” (Are you only going to love an Amitabh Bachchna then? Have you measured your body weight? Look, even I am adjusting. You should adjust likewise).

Also, the action and the dance sequences are quite noteworthy. Shahid as the new action hero looks desirable, handsome and promising. By the way, the makers are trying to keep the complete name of Shahid’s character under wraps till the film’s release.

According to Designer Mmonika Arora, “Making people stylish is my passion. Playing with fabric has always been inspiring. i believe ,Velvet would be a big hit among fashion connoisseur in 2014 so you would find use of rich velvets, Sheer nets, king khab in most of my creations which are fine amalgamation of modern with a traditional and regal flavour.”

Shahid and Sonakshi are in town for the promotion of their upcoming movie `R...Rajkumar`.

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who is teaming up with "Kaminey" director Vishal Bhardwaj yet again, says the new movie, "Haider", has given him a chance to explore a new space.

Talking about "Haider", Shahid said: "It's awesome. I love working with Vishal sir as he has given me the best character of my life."

"Haider" is the director's adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragic play "Hamlet".

"Vishal sir is doing the third adaptation of 'Hamlet'. Earlier he has done 'Omkara' and 'Maqbool', so it's ('Haider') is very different from 'R... Rajkumar', and it has taken me to a different space. I am enjoying that," he added.

Shahid refrained from revealing much about his role in "Haider". But said: "All I can say is that I am having great time working in this film. We started shooting some time back and we have shot for around 10 days."

The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Tabu.

Shahid Kapoor was in for a pleasant surprise while shooting for a film recently. His younger brother, Ishaan Khattar, paid him a visit on the sets of R… Rajkumar. “Shahid and Prabhu Dheva (director) were shooting for the song ‘Gandi baat’. Shahid was rehearsing his steps when he saw Ishaan walking in. He was pleasantly surprised to see him there,” says the film’s spokesperson.

On the sets, 18-year-old Ishaan not only interacted with the cast and crew but also matched steps with the director.

“He was there for almost an hour. Later, he also danced with Prabhu Dheva to the song. Shahid was impressed with his brother’s moves. Prabhu Dheva pulled in Shahid as well and the three had a blast dancing,” adds the spokesperson.

Ishaan, who is Shahid’s step-brother (he is born to Shahid’s mother Neelima Azeem and her ex-husband Rajesh Khattar), has also acted in the film, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi (2005).

Watching Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor dancing to the tune of Prabhu Deva would be a visual delight for two reasons — Kapoor is one of the finest dancers and Prabhu is one of the best choreographers in the industry.

This is the first time that the duo has come together and their chemistry will be seen on the silver screen with the release of their film R... Rajkumar. Directed by Prabhu, the film has Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles, while Sonu Sood will be seen in negative shades.

The film, which is going to be released in the UAE on Dec.5, is expected to send cash registers ringing for its masala content and chart-popping dance numbers. The film’s song has already started getting rave reviews for very original music.

The lead pair of the film was in Dubai on Thursday to promote their upcoming film. During a media interaction, organised by Essar Events, Sinha says, “Kapoor is my favourite co-star, among the younger lot.”

Talking about his character in the film, Kapoor says, “Fearless, shameless, open-hearted are the qualities of my character in the film. Even my look is very rough and tough.”

He terms his character as a typical small city boy, who is very arrogant but the moment he sees a girl, his behaviour changes.

“I love action films. And this is my first action film. Fight sequences in this film are very simple, nothing sort of a superhero. I always wanted to do such films,” says Kapoor, adding that Prabhu Deva is the ultimate choreographer when it comes to masala movies.

Talking about the rowdy character he is playing in the film, Kapoor adds, “I had nothing to do with my look and clothes. It was all in the mind of Prabhu much before he approached me.”

The film R…Rajkumar has plenty of song and dance numbers. Talking about his experience of dancing, Kapoor says that although dancing is his forte, he was very much intimidated before the shooting began. Rationalising his fears, he says, “I would do lots of Western dance, but had to change my style for this film, that was a bit difficult.”

Sinha, who has teamed up with Prabhu for the second time in a short span of three years, remarks, “I found my role very interesting. This is one of those rare films in which love story and action sequences are given equal importance.”

When asked what makes her fall in love with the character of Kapoor, Sinha says, “He is a persistent guy, but a very charming and amazing lover.”

Speaking about her time in Dubai, she avers, “I would spend lots of time in Dubai earlier, now I don’t get the time. The Dubai Mall is my favourite place to hang out.”

Kapoor admits that he has been to all places in Dubai, and particularly loves its beaches and Ski Dubai.

Shahid Kapoor starrer "R...Rajkumar" is ready to come out and the actor hopes that lady luck smiles on him this time.

The 32-year-old, who has hits like "Jab We Met" and "Kaminey" in his kitty, hasn't been so lucky at the box office with "Chance Pe Dance", "Mausam", "Teri Meri Kahaani", and "Phata Poster Nikla Hero".

"I have been unlucky that my films did not work, but I have been lucky as my fan following has been intact. I am lucky that the audience has been very nice," said Shahid.

"I have tried to give 200 percent to all my films and I am thankful that the audiences have faith in me. I deserve a little luck," he added.

The actor believes that success is all about the timing.

"It's all about timing - when time is good, it will work. You can't think about all these things as you have to learn to accept a few things. I genuinely feel I just need some luck... rest everything is fine," he added.

Prabhudheva has directed some of the best actions scenes with Shahid in the film.

Praising the director, Shahid said: "His sense of action is amazing. His action treatment is also musical. There is a lot of stylization. He takes care of small moments.

"We finished shooting for the film in 88 days and for 45 days we shot for action sequences. He gives a lot of time and attention to action."

Ready to come out Dec 6, "R...Rajkumar" will see Shahid working with Sonakshi Sinha for the first and he compliments his leading lady as a "complete heroine".

"I have been working for 10 years and I don't say this for everyone, but she is a complete heroine. She dances so well, great actress, her attitude is very positive and we really gelled well," said Shahid who has worked with the likes of Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan.
