How's 2012 looking for you? I've decided to do three films a year from here on, but where are the scripts? I reject most of the ones offered to me. There are three films in the offing currently. I am doing Maneesh Sharma's film for Yash Raj Films. There's also Kunal Kohli's Teri Meri Kahani (working title).

After signing his first film with Karan Johar and getting back into the YRF camp, Shahid Kapoor has treated himself to a custom-made red Jaguar five days back. And the specially made XKRS has cost him close to a one and half crore.

His new Jag has made Shahid a part of the elite club of Bollywood comprising Ekta Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan, who already own a model of this British luxury car.

Actor Shahid Kapoor wonders why people are more stringent about parties involving celebrities, and says like all young people even celebs like to party.

Recently, a party organised in Mumbai in honour of international talk show queen Oprah Winfrey was busted by police more than once due to complaints from neighbours about loud music. The Bollywood Awards Season kicks off tonight with the Colors Screen Awards 2012. This year too Screen has its regular host-n-dost in the form of Sajid Khan while actors Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor are also likely to host a segment of the awards.

According to our reports Amitabh Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor have signed the project which is now taken over by Reliance. Writer-director Apoorva Lakhia ('Shoot Out At Lokhandwala' fame) will helm the sequel.Apart from Mr. Bachchan and Shahid the makers of 'Aankhen 2' are also in search for one more actors and actresses.

Shahid Kapoor recently bought his mother Neelima Azim her dream home — a 3 BHK flat in Versova. The actress has now shifted out of her rented apartment at Yari Road and moved into her new home.

Says a source, "Neelima was living in a rented apartment with her son Ishaan, and had her sights set on an apartment close to Shahid's home. She mentioned wanting to purchase the place to her star son and he decided to surprise her by buying it for her. Neelima was stunned when her beta handed her the keys to the house. She was overcome with emotion."

Shahid and Ranbir Kapoor are in the running to play medieval Indian emperor Chandragupta Maurya in the book-to-film adaptation of Chanakya's Chant, the best-selling novel by Ashwin Sanghi.

The story revolves Chanakya, one of the greatest political strategists India has known.The book has been picked up by a leading production house to be made into a motion picture. Casting has begun and buzz is that SK and RK are both keen on playing the emperor.

Like most events with Bollywood stars, the Shoppiesta Finale featuring Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora Khan and Jacqueline Fernnadez began hours past the scheduled time on September 4. The audience at Meydan waited over two hours to see their fave stars but it was worth it in the end. When Jacqueline (the first of the T’town line-up) finally came on stage after performances by Kelly Rowland and T-Pain, it was almost 12am but the energy she and the other celebs brought, got the audience going.

Jackie grooved to her ‘Housefull’ hit Dhanno, ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’, and a medley of ‘Murder 2’ songs (which was a bit odd considering they aren’t really dance number) followed by the always amazing Malaika who brought the house down with ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’, ‘Ibn Battuta’ and ‘Honth Raseeley’ from ‘Welcome’.

As far as energetic performances go, it was Shahid Kapoor that stole the show – even if it meant waiting till 2am in the sweltering heat at Meydan in Dubai on Sunday night.

Bollywood hunk Shahid Kapoor chose to weave his way onto the stage through the crowd, while American R&B singer Kelly Rowland wanted to be closer to her fans as she sang – all the while asking the beefy guards to back off.It’s not every day that the stars from East and West share a stage to entertain fans, but that’s what happened at the grand finale of Shoppiesta held at Meydan grounds on Sunday.
